There’s really not a lot we can say about this TMNT: The Last Ronin trailer, which debuted during THQ Nordic’s showcase yesterday. The game, which had previously been teased as influenced by favourites like Sony Santa Monica’s recent God of War reboot, is being developed by Destroy All Humans!’ Black Forest Games, and has been inspired by a gritty 2020 comic book reboot of the same name.

“Who is the Last Ronin?” ponders the press release. “In a future, battle-ravaged New York City, a lone surviving Turtle embarks on a seemingly hopeless mission seeking justice for the family he lost. From the minds of the creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and based on the best-selling comic book event by Eastman, Waltz, Bishop, Delgado, and the Escorza Brothers: the official video game adaptation of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin.”

And that’s pretty much your lot for now – basically a commitment to the project’s existence, with more to follow in the future.
